Thomas McGuire Hall | Sarasota Art Museum
Join San Francisco-based artist and author, Leah Rosenberg, to learn more about the local sources of inspiration for her site-specific wall painting, 28 Colors (Sarasota, FL), commissioned by the Museum in 2019. She will discuss her process of collecting color to record time and connect to place; and how cake, color, and community have informed her creative practice.

Based in San Francisco, Rosenberg is widely exhibited and has been awarded numerous national and international fellowships. Her work is part of SFMOMA’s permanent collection, where she also worked as the lead pastry chef at their rooftop café. Combining her talents, she created a spectrum of desserts based on the museum’s collection. Following her talk, we invite you to enjoy a meet-and-greet experience with Leah Rosenberg.
Sarasota Art Museum’s Quotable Speaker Series invites visitors to hear from artists, curators, and contemporary creatives who spark new ways of thinking about art, architecture, and creative practice. This special series offers a space for Sarasota to gather, share new ideas, and be inspired.
