Bistro at Sarasota Art Museum
The Museum’s on-site exclusive caterer, Constellation Culinary Group, is pleased to present a BeWell Tasting Table to celebrate Earth month. Enjoy healthy bites and learn practical strategies from a registered dietitian about how the foods we choose affect the environment that grows and supplies them. The BeWell Tasting Table will feature two sustainable and nourishing samples: Crispy Falafel Sliders and Sundried Tomato Black Bean Balls.
Advance registration not required. Samples are available while supplies last.
11 am–12 pm | Opening Day Talk with Maria A. Guzmán Capron
Sarasota High School Alumni Auditorium at SAM
Join us for an artist talk to mark the opening of Maria A. Guzmán Capron’s solo exhibition, Penumbra, at Sarasota Art Museum. Known for her exuberant figurative textile wall hangings and soft sculptures, Capron will discuss how her identity has shaped her interdisciplinary practice, the intricate process behind her original textile designs, and the many sources that inspire her surreal characters.
Advance registration required.
