Steven and William Ladd: Lead With a Laugh
September 4, 2022 - February 5, 2023
- Spend your life doing what you love.
- Be focused and disciplined.
- Collaborate.
Staying true to these core principles has enabled Steven and William Ladd to create—focused, yet freely—a spectrum of works that vary in technique, color, texture, and form. The exhibition will include past works, as well as new works being exhibited for the first time, that embody this range and the artistic evolutions along the way.

Scrollathon
October 17, 2022 - February 5, 2023

Community groups in Sarasota were invited to create from their own stories and memories during Scrollathon. The Scrollathon was founded in 2006 out of the brothers’ belief in the extraordinary capacities of every human being and the awesome power of community. Empowering and engaging underserved communities through artistic collaborations, Scrollathon has served over 10,000 people from diverse ages, backgrounds and abilities to create public artworks at locations including the commercial development City Point in Brooklyn, NY, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. Through partnerships, the program has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, Knight Foundation and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
The collaborative artwork created between community members and Steven and William Ladd during Scrollathon will be on view from October 17, 2022 – February 5, 2023 in the Museum’s John & Charlotte Suhler Gallery.
