Join us for a celebration of music and art! Listen as Sarasota Orchestra musicians bring more than 100 prints from SAM’s exhibition, Beautiful Ideas: The Prints of Sol LeWitt, to life. Enjoy a special after-hours string quartet performance in the galleries inspired by the artist’s love for composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Philip Glass.

A longtime lover of classical music, Sol LeWitt drew parallels between the serial progressions in his own body of work and the themes and variations of musical compositions. Known for conceiving artworks based on a set of instructions that could be replicated by others, his creations are frequently likened to musical scores developed by composers. Through this special program, we celebrate this artistic connection in an inspiring, live gallery performance.
