Hear first-hand from these accomplished artists about the rich quilting traditions of Gee’s Bend, Alabama that have captivated the art world for decades. Then, learn about Bennett’s and Bendolph’s personal experiences translating their world-renowned quilting style into a new medium—printmaking—in collaboration with Paulson Fontaine Press. This conversation is led by Associate Curator Lacie Barbour and is inspired by SAM’s exhibition, Personal to Political: Celebrating the African American Artists of Paulson Fontaine Press.
