Join Eszter Sziksz, Ringling College of Art and Design professor of Fine Arts, Printmaking, in a discussion about the exhibition Beautiful Ideas: The Prints of Sol LeWitt.

About Eszter Sziksz

Eszter Sziksz, DLA is a Hungarian visual artist, educator, and Fulbright U.S. Scholar whose global journey has taken her across Asia and Europe. Her immersive artwork seamlessly blends traditional printmaking with video and sensory installations to explore themes of memory and change. Eszter’s work has been exhibited around the world—from Tokyo to Budapest—with features at the International Print Center New York (IPCNY), the Krakow International Print Triennial in Poland, the Santorini Art Biennial in Greece, and even a site-specific installation at the famous IceHotel in Sweden.

Currently teaching printmaking and book arts at Ringling College of Art + Design, Eszter holds an MFA from the Memphis College of Art and a Doctor of Liberal Arts (DLA) from the University of Pécs in Hungary. Her prints are held in international collections, including the Szent István Museum in Hungary and the University of North Florida. Whether working with paper or interactive media, her practice bridges cultures, making her a vibrant voice in contemporary art.

Join Christopher Jones, Curator of Photography and Media Art at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, in a discussion about the exhibition Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder.

About Christopher Jones

Christopher Jones is the Stanton B. and Nancy W. Kaplan Curator of Photography and Media Arts at The Ringling Museum of Art and holds a faculty position at Florida State University. His 2022 exhibition Metadata: Rethinking Photography in the 21^st Century and accompanying catalog, explored artists approaching photography as an expanded practice in our era of AI and surveillance. Other recent curatorial projects include Territories: Photography, Space, and Power (2017); Hank Willis Thomas: Branded/Unbranded (2017); Coco Fusco: Twilight (2018); Manuel Álvarez Bravo: Specters and Parables (2019); Working Conditions (2023); Jess T. Dugan: I want you to know my story (2024); and Sandy Rodriguez: Currents of Resistance (2025). His most recent publication, “Phantom Evidence: Spirit Photography from the Nineteenth Century to the Present,” appears in the 2024 exhibition catalogue Conjuring the Spirit: Art, Magic, and Mediums (Peabody Essex Museum). Prior to his role at The Ringling, Jones was Assistant Curator of Prints and Photographs at the University of New Mexico Art Museum. He holds an M.A. in Art History from the University of New Mexico and has taught widely on art history, curatorial studies, and the history of photography.
