Join Sheila D. McKoy for her talk on public art and community engagement. McKoy is the Exhibit Director for Embracing Our Differences. She has produced over 150 public arts projects at transit facilities throughout the transportation system serving the state of New Jersey. She has also connected communities, consultants, architects, and engineers, guiding the process of integrating artworks. She retired from NJ TRANSIT in 2015 after more than 29 years of dedicated employment.

McKoy has continued to thrive in the public arts sector as a consultant collaborating with corporations, developers, private and public partnerships to select artists to create and incorporate artwork in buildings and outdoor spaces. She has been a recognized speaker and expert throughout her career, participating in panel discussions on public art at Pratt Institute, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, OLLI, creative place-making conferences, as well as at various museums and galleries. McKoy holds a BA and an MBA in Business Management.
